MICROMOLES

About Micromoles

SINCE 2008, MANUFACTURING AND DEVELOPING CHEMISTRY FOR OIL & GAS — WITH ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AT THE CORE OF EVERY PRODUCT WE MAKE.

MicroMoles is an Argentine company founded in 2008, specialized in the manufacturing and distribution of chemical solutions for the Oil & Gas industry. We started by importing a single product, and we haven't stopped since: we developed proprietary products, built a microencapsulation plant, set up our own R&D laboratory, and expanded operations to Latin America, the United States, and the Middle East.
Today we hold ISO 9001 certification (TÜV Rheinland), operate our own encapsulation technology, and maintain strategic alliances with world-class companies. But what we value most is something simpler: the trust we've built with every client over the years.

SOLUTIONS FOR EVERY STAGE OF THE OPERATION

We develop and manufacture chemical products to optimize every stage of oil and gas well operations — from hydraulic fracturing to production — with proprietary formulations, permanent stock, and in-field technical support.

WHEREVER YOU ARE, WE DELIVER.

ARGENTINA

In Argentina, we sell and distribute directly to Oil & Gas companies — no intermediaries, with our own stock in Buenos Aires and Neuquén. That translates into better pricing, faster response, and a closer technical relationship.

LATIN AMERICA

In Latin America, we operate through exclusive, specialized distributors in each market, ensuring local presence backed by MicroMoles' technical expertise and quality standards.

UNITED STATES, MEXICO, AND THE MIDDLE EAST

The same exclusive representation model now extends to the United States, Mexico, and the Middle East — a reflection of the growth and trust our products have earned beyond the region.

VISION - MISSION - VALUES

From the very beginning, MicroMoles has had one clear purpose: to deliver the best chemical solutions for the Oil & Gas industry, in harmony with the environment and with a genuine focus on client benefit.
We constantly seek new technologies — domestic and international — to broaden and improve our offering, adapting it to the real needs of each operation. We keep our clients informed about the latest technical and commercial developments in the sector, because we believe that a well-informed client makes better decisions.
We are not simply product vendors. Every sale is oriented toward generating concrete value for the operator.

• Anticipation: We get ahead of problems and opportunities within our field of expertise, offering solutions before they become emergencies.
• Environmental care: The products we develop and commercialize actively replace less environmentally friendly alternatives, because sustainability is part of our value proposition.
• Ethics and integrity: Ethics guides every commercial, technical, and human decision within our organization.

COMPANY HISTORY

2008 — The Origins

When Halliburton's patent on Tetramethyl Ammonium Chloride (TMAC) expired, Sachem Inc. — the world's largest producer of this compound — entrusted MicroMoles with developing the Argentine market.

TMAC represented a fundamental change in well services: it allowed for the replacement of Potassium Chloride (KCl) with a ready-to-use liquid clay inhibitor in quantities 10 times smaller. The result was more efficient operation and an equivalent reduction in chlorine incorporated into the formation — a significant technical and environmental advancement for the industry.

With the import of the first container of TMAC from the USA, MicroMoles began operations, focusing exclusively on Oil & Gas, serving well service and drilling mud companies. From that first shipment to the present day, we have never stopped delivering this product.

MicroMoles established itself as the exclusive distributor of Sachem Inc. products for Argentina and Latin America.

2010 — Friction Reducers for Vaca Muerta

MicroMoles establishes a strategic alliance with Geosafe Chemicals (USA) for the development of friction reducers for hydraulic fracturing.

Working with the actual formula of YPF's flowback water from Vaca Muerta, both companies jointly develop SlikFlow HiSalt and SlikWater HiSalt — friction reducers with high salt tolerance that allow operation with 100% recycled water. A concrete technical and environmental advancement: less fresh water consumption, the same friction reduction performance.

2013 — Restructuring and New Strategic Direction

MicroMoles restructures its ownership. Diana Cantor and Néstor Diego Méndez become managing partners and define a new business plan focused exclusively on chemical products for oil and gas well production.

As part of this vision, an import substitution plan was initiated: MicroMoles began evaluating the possibility of manufacturing chemical products in Argentina—the first step toward what years later would become its own plant and R&D laboratory.

2015—Portfolio Expansion

MicroMoles added the distribution of Barite (density 4.2) from Bolivia, and Boric Acid and Borax produced domestically—expanding its offerings to include key inputs for drilling and completion fluids.

2016—New Representations and First Step Toward In-House Manufacturing

MicroMoles added the distribution and representation of ceramic propants from Carbo Ceramics (USA), and Ammonium Polysulfide from MPR Services for cyanide control in refineries and amine and glycol recovery systems in gas plants.

In parallel, and as a result of the import substitution plan initiated in 2013, MicroMoles secured a technology transfer agreement for the manufacture of solid inhibitors. Specialized machinery is imported from the USA, and construction begins on the first microencapsulation plant in the Canning Industrial Park, Buenos Aires—a milestone marking MicroMoles' transformation from distributor to manufacturer.

2017—Own Plant Operational: MicroMoles Now Manufacturing in Argentina

The assembly and installation of the company-owned plant in the Canning Industrial Park, Buenos Aires, is completed. MicroMoles takes a decisive step: it begins locally producing both liquid additives and microencapsulated solid inhibitors—using technology transferred from the USA and adapted to the needs of the Argentine market.
The company-owned plant marks the beginning of a new stage: greater quality control, increased responsiveness, and the ability to develop and adjust proprietary formulations according to the specific requirements of each client and well. A dedicated laboratory for quality control and new product development is also incorporated—the foundation of the R&D area, which would continue to grow in the following years.

2024 — We tripled our production capacity

MicroMoles installed a second production line for solid microencapsulated chemicals at its Canning plant, tripling the installed capacity of the original line. The expansion also incorporates an automated bagging system for particulate solids, improving operational efficiency and the consistency of the final product.

2024 — ISO 9001 Certification

After much hard work and dedication, MicroMoles obtained ISO 9001 certification (TÜV Rheinland) for its production, marketing, and distribution processes for chemicals used in oil and gas wells.

This achievement reflects the entire team's commitment to quality, consistency, and continuous improvement—and allows us to offer each customer the guarantee that behind every product there is an audited and controlled process.

2024 — Expansion of the R&D Laboratory

At MicroMoles, we continue to invest in innovation: we've expanded our R&D laboratory and incorporated new, state-of-the-art equipment, enhancing our capacity to develop increasingly efficient chemical products and solutions tailored to the real needs of each operation.

A larger, better-equipped laboratory means faster responses, more precise formulations, and a greater capacity to meet the technical challenges of a constantly evolving industry.

2024/2025 — New Technologies: Nanoparticles and Cutting-Edge Solutions

In our ongoing pursuit of innovation, we've added technologies from two world-class companies to our portfolio: PureChem Services, renowned for its expertise in chemical solutions for well production and treatment, and Nissan Chemical, a global leader in the development of nanoparticles for the Oil & Gas industry.

This integration allows us to offer high value-added alternatives — such as PROPCURE (on-the-fly sand resining) and MICROACTIVE NANO (surfactants with nanoparticles) — to optimize efficiency and productivity in the field, responding to the most demanding operational challenges in the industry.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At MicroMoles, we understand that doing our job well goes beyond commercial results. We maintain a firm commitment to quality, environmental care, sustainability, and the safety and health of every person in our organization.
This commitment — sustained with effort, integrity, and consistency over the years — is the foundation of the reputation we have built, and which we protect with the same rigor we apply to every product we develop.
To uphold it, we operate under a Code of Ethics that governs all dimensions of our business: product development and commercialization, and our relationships with clients, suppliers, and staff. In July 2024, MicroMoles successfully completed the Phase II audit and obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification (TÜV Rheinland) — a milestone reflecting our entire team's commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

ETHICAL CODE

PLANT

In 2013, the change in the corporate composition of Micromoles S.R.L. promoted the development of a new business plan, which also started a plan to substitute imports, with the consequent evaluation of manufacturing chemical products in Argentina.
In 2016, Micromoles agreed with Geosafe on the transfer of technology for the manufacture of solid inhibitors and built its micro-encapsulation plant for liquids in the Canning Industrial Park. He imported from the USA part of the machinery required for the process.
At the beginning of 2017, the new own plant was installed in the country, with capacity for local chemical production: manufacture of liquid additives, and production of solid microencapsulated chemicals. Alternative capacity to manufacture solid-solid mixtures.
The assembly of the plant involved the development and installation of a line of processes for the production of micro and nano encapsulated with innovation technology, without precedents in Argentina.

PRODUCTION CAPACITY: FROM LAB TO INDUSTRIAL SCALE

Our process starts in the R&D laboratory, where every formulation is developed and validated before scale-up. From there, our plant allows us to operate at both scales: pilot batches for testing and fine-tuning, through to industrial volumes for large-scale operations. This flexibility allows us to accompany the client from the evaluation stage through to full field implementation — with no need to change supplier or formula.

TECNOLOGY

From day one, MicroMoles has worked with a clear purpose: to bring the best chemical solutions to our clients, keeping them at the forefront of technical and commercial developments in the sector.
Through our alliances with top-tier international companies, we have direct and continuous access to the innovations already being applied in the world's most demanding oil and gas fields — especially in the United States. This allows us to anticipate: proposing new products before problems escalate, and supporting implementation with the technical expertise required for correct and efficient application.
The constant search for and integration of new technologies and representations is not a growth strategy — it has been part of our identity since the very beginning.

LOGISTICS

Our team brings over 30 years of experience in domestic and international trade — an asset that translates into efficient, cost-effective logistics solutions tailored to each operation.
We know how to move products from any origin directly to the client's location, optimizing lead times and costs at every stage of the supply chain. Every logistical saving we generate is passed directly on to the client — because our structure is built to ensure product arrives in good condition, on time, and at the lowest possible cost.

REPRESENTATIONS

Incorporating new international representations is a central part of our strategy: it allows us to continuously diversify and improve our product and solution offering for clients.
Through our global partners, we have direct and ongoing access to the chemical innovations already being applied in the world's most advanced oil and gas fields. That access gives us a concrete advantage: we can propose new solutions before problems become critical, and provide the technical support needed for proper implementation in the field.
